Paralegal Professional Diploma
Program Overview

CALCampus offers Professional Diploma programs through online distance learning. Courses are taught as directed individual study, using the CALCampus Online System and the Internet. Students are in one-on-one contact with their instructors throughout the program.

Minimum requirements for earning the professional diploma: 60 credits, including at least 24 credits in the diploma major.

Credits are accepted through prior learning assessment and transfer credits from postsecondary education, as dictated by the diploma program. Non-collegiate, experiential learning is assessed by CALCampus and credits are awarded based on guidelines recommended by the American Councel on Education (ACE); The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL); New York Board of Regents Program on Noncollegiate Sponsored Instruction (PONSI); and others.

Evidence of learning equivalent to that of a high school diploma is requested of all incoming students. The CALCampus high school division can help the student to make up any deficiencies in the high school record, if needed.

The Professional Diploma programs in CALCampus may be completed in one to two years. CALCampus courses are designed to be completed with a 12-week period, if not sooner. Students may start their courses soon after they are admitted. Students are expected to take a minimum of two courses at a time. Upon completion of a course, a student may register for and proceed with another course. In this way, the student is always working on two courses, which is considered fulltime status. The Director will advise students on the sequence of course selection.

The Cost for your Professional Diploma program will vary according to how many credits you bring into the program from prior learning.
