High school. Half year course content.This course introduces the student to theories, concepts, specialities, and practices in contemporary psychology. It provides the student with knowledge about alternative areas of psychological research and applications relevant to their life experiences. Topics include: why study psychology, research questions, current findings about human behavior, the brain, perception, memory, emotion, consciousness, gender, personality, identity, and life-span development. The course explores key factors impacting learning, relationships, problem-solving, mental illness, behavioral adjustment, and cultural/social diversity in modern society.

Course Title: INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMICS

High school. Half year course content. Introduces students to principles essential to understanding the basic economic concepts, theory, and institutions of the United States and comparative economic systems. Upon completion of this course the student will have a thorough understanding of how the economy as a whole operates with regard to: output, growth, productivity and the causes of economic fluctuations. Also, students will comprehend the causes and impact of inflation, unemployment. Students will also comprehend the law of supply and demand in the micro economic environment. Finally, students will be exposed to investment markets, interest rates and the impact the Federal Reserve system (its structure and role) has on the U.S. economy. Special attention will be devoted to transitioning economies, both Russia and China with regard to central planning, collapse of the Russian economy, the new Russian market system, and Chinese market reforms.

Survey of American History is designed to provide a survey of the highlights of important events in the development of the United States, from the Colonial Days up through the end of the 20th century. This will be accomplished through a combination of course readings, in addition to independent research and study done by the student. The readings in this course are intended to provide an overview of various topics and to provide a starting point for deeper investigation. High school. Half year. Law and Society addresses the interrelationship of legal, social, and ethical issues in American life. The purpose of the course is to enhance students' critical analysis of social and ethical issues related to law. Students will analyze a specific social issue that has a legal precedent.

Examines major perspectives in organization theory and behavior, relative to organization design, performance and change. It explores how organizations develop, function and modify themselves to reflect the needs of their internal and external environments. We will cover the Equal Employment Laws, Job Analysis, Human Resource Planning, Recruiting, Discrimination, Training and Development and Performance Appraisals.

The goal of the course is to focus on the importance to any organization of the people in its employ. Course Title: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This college survey course offers an overview of types and techniques of research. Participants explore sources of research literature, and perform library and Internet searches for appropriate materials for their own studies. Students investigate proper methods on how to read research reports, including critical thinking about the various elements of the reports. Examples of qualitative and quantitative methods will be introduced.
